The papers of Ebenezer Stiles cover the years 1770 to 1810, and include land deeds documenting properties purchased by Ebenezer Stiles from Gershom Johnson, Thomas Tuttle, and Joseph Beach, and were located, for the most part, in Hanover Township, Morris County, New Jersey. There is also a land deed that transfers property, also in Hanover Township, from Ebenezer Stiles to his son, Moses Stiles, on December 25, 1810. His contain, too, a manuscript copy of his last will and testament, dated December 25, 1810. Also included in the Stiles Family papers are the papers belonging to Moses Stiles, the son of Ebenezer Stiles. The papers of Moses Stiles contain land deeds of real estate obtained between the years 1796 and 1835, from Benjamin Barton, Abraham Johnson, Joseph Wheeler, Jane Douglass, and Dayton Canfield. The properties acquired by Moses Stiles were located mostly in Hanover Township and Newton Township, New Jersey.
